I have consistently felt a deep connection to the world of art. In my early years, I found joy in arranging buttons based on their colors and sizes, it was my favorite activity. Drawing captivated me as well, often leading me to lose track of time immersed in the creative process. My desire to create probably is caused by my fascination with art, its vibrant colors, diverse shapes, and sizes. I also desire to spend time in unique spaces, which I create and decorate according to my ideas.
What is your artistic background, the techniques and subjects you have experimented with so far?
Throughout my extensive artistic education spanning many years, I have delved into various techniques, subjects, and tools. Starting from anatomical drawing to still life, landscape painting, scenographic techniques, sculptural installations, ceramics, and broadly understood graphic and multimedia techniques, my exploration has been comprehensive. Despite everything, I have always felt that only painting (both digital and easel) gives me the fulfillment of experiencing and discovering new color compositions.
Monika Mrowiec (born in 1991) is a Polish artist with a background in both classical and modern art. Her studies at Opole University, where she focused on visual arts, graphic design, and new media, along with her postgraduate work in architecture and interior design, shape her distinctive, multifaceted approach to painting. Her work often merges classical motifs, particularly from ancient mythology, with the vibrant, expressive elements of pop art. This unique style highlights her focus on contrasting classical figures with contemporary elements, such as the textures and patterns inspired by luxury fashion brands, giving her pieces a modern edge. Her recent collections include dynamic pieces inspired by fashion and the iconography of pop culture, blending monochromatic portraits with striking, colorful backdrops and textures that bring her subjects to life in bold, engaging ways.
