If you could have created a famous work in the history of art, which one would you choose?

Updated: May 27

Can you tell us about your most important exhibition experience?

Every event I participate in is equally important for my artistic growth and for gaining invaluable experiences. One such event was my first solo exhibition, thanks to which I could get to know the world of art from a completely different perspective. Another important event was the opportunity to present my work to Philipp Plein and participate in his event.

If you could have created a famous work in the history of art, which one would you choose? And why?

Jeff Koons’s Balloon Dog stands out as a symbol of perfection in art. Its flawless texture, captivating colors, and perfectly crafted curves leave no room for imperfection. It reflects my vision of art as a blend of pure color and meticulous craftsmanship, where planning and execution are essential.

If you could invite one famous artist (dead or alive) to dinner, who would it be? How would you like to spend the evening together?

I think such an artist would be Banksy with his thought-provoking street art. I’d love to talk to him about his ability to create original art on everyday surfaces in bustling urban spaces. I’d also ask him about the infamous Girl with a Balloon – how the shredding was planned and how he managed to pull it off years after the piece was sold.

Monika Mrowiec (born in 1991) is a Polish artist with a background in both classical and modern art. She studied at Opole University, where she focused on visual arts, graphic design, and new media. Her work often merges classical motifs, particularly from ancient mythology, with the vibrant, expressive elements of pop art. This unique style highlights her focus on contrasting classical figures with contemporary elements, such as the textures and patterns inspired by luxury fashion brands, giving her pieces a modern edge. Her recent collections include dynamic pieces inspired by fashion and the iconography of pop culture, blending monochromatic portraits with bold, colorful backdrops and textures that bring her subjects vividly to life.
